I know the truth and I know what you're thinking
Five things make a post, right?
a. This morning I took out the recycling and dropped my laundry off on the way to work, and then had to deal with the C train running over the F line from West 4th to Jay St (I got off and took the E to Canal); I feel like I used up all my ability to be a responsible adult by 9 am.
2. So in the run of Ultimate Spider-Man that I acquired, it features a bunch of crossovers with the Ultimates, which I guess are the Avengers in the Ultimate verse? Anyway, for some reason, last night, I started hearing Captain America's dialogue in the voice of the Middleman, and now I can't stop laughing and expecting him to say things like, "Guns of Navarone, Dubbie! I'm as serious as a German film festival!" IDEK (otoh, even though Bucky is, like, 90 in this 'verse, I still squeak, "Bucky!" every time he shows up. *hands*)
iii. Speaking of the Avengers, since all those movies share a universe, I'm wondering if, when reccing, instead of considering them crossovers, I should just tag them with the originating movies and also "Avengers" and leave the crossover part out (e.g., "iron man, thor, avengers"). Anyone got any preferences?
D. I finally got through writing all the sex in the threesome story, and now I can't figure out how to end it. Ugh. Endings. So hard! So easy to ruin the whole story with a bad ending! I don't want to have 6K words of story that I can't post because it doesn't have an ending! That makes me so tetchy!
5. Lately, I've been listening to Crash Years by the New Pornographers a lot and I feel like "Those Old Eternity Blues" should be the title of a story about Death (probably Discworld, but maybe Death of the Endless, because I love her a lot and she's easy to crossover), but I don't know yet what the story is about. Sigh. Writing, why so difficult?
