Holy crap, it's like the AV Club read my mind. I don't actually pay attention to the editorial discussions or decisions etc. over there, but I kept hoping they would decide to review AtLA this summer under the Classic banner, and they are! I haven't actually read the first one yet, and the reviewer's name isn't ringing any bells, but I am excited, ( Read more... )

The reviewer is a Buffista, so I'm looking forward to his reviews.

the regular commenters are otherwise pretty smart, at least for the shows I follow over there.
Actually, I've found that the A.V. Club comments are pretty horrible. Full of trolls and people insulting the reviewer.

Huh. I skim past whatever appears to be blatant trolling. I often enjoy the comments on Community and The Good Wife and Fringe, and the comic book nerdery in the BTAS comments

It may vary from show to show. I was reading reviews of Mr. Show and Breaking Bad while watching, and the comments on the former were particularly dickish.
