with a head full of hormones and holes

Ugh, work.

have a meme, gacked most recently from
sansets:

I believe this is about tropes in fic and whether I like them or not...

Creature/Aliens: It's not something I consciously seek out, but given that I spent years writing about a werewolf and a dude who could turn into a dog, and I've recently spent a lot of time reading about Kryptonians (or a Kryptonian-human clone...hybrid...guy) and the emotionally repressed vigilantes who love them, I'm not going to say no.

Mpreg: No. I have a lot of issues with mpreg. It doesn't squick me so much as it pisses me right off.

Slavefic: No.

Pain: No.

Humiliation, shaming: this is one of my hugest squicks. DO NOT WANT.

Power exchange, dominance and submission: Only under certain limited circumstances with very specific characters.

Age difference: depends on the characters and circumstances.

Bloodplay: Squick

Underage (chan): Okay, see, to me underage is just teenagers who are under the age of consent in their locality, which I like just fine, but chan is 13-and-under and just no. Seriously a squick.

Crossdressing/Genderbender: Depends on the character and the fandom. Not something I seek out in general.

Bodyswap: I enjoy bodyswap stories, though there is the issue of consent that can make them ishy if not handled well.

Dubcon: A lot depends on the characters, the fandom, the author and the circumstances of the story. I generally avoid things with this label because I mostly don't trust people to write something that I will enjoy reading.

Noncon: Squick.

Incest/Selfcest: I don't so much seek out incest pairings as have them happen to me. *hands* Especially hetcest with an older brother/younger sister. Parent/child is a definite squick, though. I have no interest in selfcest or doppelganger fic or whatever.

Threesome/moresome/gangbang: Threesomes/moresomes solve so many problems! I am all for them!

Death: meh. I will avoid if I know ahead of time. Otoh, I love stories that are about grief following canonical death.

Watersports/scat: Huge squick. DNW.

Crossovers: I adore crossovers and seek them out all the time.

Unhappy/wide-open endings: I dislike unhappy endings that leave no place for hope, and I avoid them when possible, but I find that usually it's the unhappy endings that are tied up and the hopeful ones that you have to leave open-ended in order to actually be hopeful.

Violence/Torture: No.

Established relationship: Depends on the characters involved.

The problem for me is that this isn't really well-defined. It's entirely possible that in X fandom, I'll enjoy trope 7, but hate it in Z fandom or with Y pairing. Let's just say that this is, for the most part, not a list of tropes that would help me find stories I wanted to read, aside from possibly the threesomes and the crossovers.
