And while I roll my eyes forever at the melodrama of it, I also see the thematic resonance of having Fauxlivia get pregnant - will Peter steal his child from the other side the way he was stolen?
Possibly, but at least since the child is actually Peter's he would have the right. (Well, if Fauxlivia let him, since it's Faux's kid too.)
Will he be responsible and cross over to be a father to the kid, and we'll end this season with him on the other side and Olivia here?
I think this might happen, but if that happens and it turns out to be the series finale, I will be bummed out. (If it was Peter with kid seperated from Olivia, I could get behind the bittersweetness of it, but if it ended with Fauxlivia/Peter, my shallow shipping fangirl self would be irritated.)
I think having Walternate use the pregnancy as leverage to get Peter to come back
This is where the writers have already kind of lost me, because if Walternate wanted Peter to stay this whole time and he knew Peter had to be there of his own choosing, why did they have Walternate give Peter the blueprints to the machine in the finale? Did he not worry that Peter might figure out the whole human battery part? I like how Walternate blamed Peter's attachment for Olivia for his leaving but didn't appear to actually think, "hey, maybe he didn't want to be used as an exploding human battery?"

Heh. I understand that completely, though I'm willing to be won over by Olivia/Alt!Charlie or Olivia/Frank if they end up with Peter/Fauxlivia.

Heh. I don't know. I've given up trying to figure out what the machine will do or why it's keyed to Peter or why there appear to be two sets of parts etc.
