I just watched this week's Friday Night Lights, and oh, my heart. I didn't cry straight through, but almost, including the theme song, which has never happened before. Normally I just ff through the opening credits of shows I watch on time-delay, but I couldn't because the music came up and the visuals, and I had that surprise!sob reaction. You ( Read more... )

The team chanting his number (though it sounded like they were saying "86" and he was wearing "88"?)
I think they were chanting his name, Hastings.

Though I don't recall Luke playing both ways playing both defense and offense last season. I guess with his injuries healed, they're getting as much use out of him as they can.
Yeah, that confused me too.

I did not cry anywhere! It'll get me soon enough, though, I'm sure.

Heh. Yes. It always does. I think maybe there was one episode last season I made it through unscathed? And I was all, "Woo! An ep where I didn't cry!"
