Is it just me, or is LJ loading really slowly, only halfway, and sometimes not at all, for anyone else? Meh.

Top 5 Songs - September 2010

5. Under the Sheets - Ellie Goulding
This is our luck, baby, running out
Her clothes were never off
We still have our lives to run about
To scale the mountain, scale the mountain,
to get us back on track
I've seen you in a fight you lost
I've seen you in a fight

4. Orphans - The Gaslight Anthem
Goodbye, circus wheel, maybe you rest along the seas
I have given you the fire of my youth and the triumph of my enemies
And goodbye, fair weather home and your faithless factories
I have given you the blood and the truth from the wounds that they laid on me
And whatever they left, I kept it for my own heart

3. American Slang - The Gaslight Anthem
And they cut me to ribbons and taught me to drive
I got your name tattooed inside of my arm
And I called for my father, but my father had died
While you told me fortunes in American slang

2. The Backseat - The Gaslight Anthem
Come July, we'll ride the ferris wheel
Go 'round and 'round and 'round
And if you never let me go
Well, I will never let you down

1. Augustine - Vienna Teng
In sand and thorns
I'm walking forth
Bare and blinking as the day that I was born
Bells in spires of China white
Ring for an Augustine tonight

The Gaslight Anthem = Winchesteriest band ever y/y?

September 2010 Writing Roundup

The Zombie Love Bug Concatenation
Supernatural/The Middleman; Dean/Wendy, Sam; pg; 3,025 words
There are zombies at the mall. This is not a metaphor.

Rough and Tumble
Avatar: The Last Airbender; Ty Lee/Suki; adult; 1,225 words
Suki sees what Ty Lee has to offer.

Death is no parenthesis
Supernatural; Sam; pg; spoilers through 5.22; 775 words
You say it out loud, Dean, and it feels familiar on your tongue, has the proper weight to be the first word you've ever spoken.

Not a very productive month, though I FINALLY wrote the Dean/Wendy+zombies story. Sigh.

So I watched some more Teen Titans, and I got to the episode where Robin goes off to find the True Master to teach him how to be even more awesome, and I am so amused that the other Titans miss him so much that they dress up in his uniform while he's gone. All of them! Even Raven! So adorable! And he doesn't freak out about it when he gets back and catches them! The mask makes him feel cool, too! Clearly, he learned to loosen up a little from the monkey and the True Master, whom I quite liked, even though it was obvious who it was the moment they appeared on screen. I said to amberlynne that I was actually surprised at how much of an obsessive asshole like Bruce they made this Robin be sometimes. I'm willing to forgive a lot, though, because he's still a teenage boy, and ~feelings are hard!

And then I watched the episode about Raven's birthday, and I possibly might be shipping Robin/Raven a little bit now. *cough* But I still like Robin/Starfire, too, so I think he should basically be with both of them, separately but equally if necessary, though I'm totally okay with a full-on threesome, as well. *beams* I'm sure he's clever enough to make it work somehow.

I was kind of embarrassed when I uploaded this icon†, but it's apparently going to get a lot of use, and not just ironically. Mostly, I think anyone reading these posts can just substitute "♥Robin♥" and get the gist.

Now if I could just finish the FAKE AMNESIAC BOYFRIENDS story (or the sex pollen story), I would be happier. I have tomorrow off, so maybe there could be writing? It could happen!

[eta] RIP Tony Curtis. You were in some awesome movies. [/eta]
