Last night, I had a spur of the moment dinner with marksykins and mousapelli at Bubby's. There was really good cheese macaroni, and there was super tasty key lime pie. Mmm...pie... Also, fangirls who are awesome and who I hadn't seen in far too long! So that was good

I was never into fandom at all (ANY fandom) before Supernatural. My hubby bought a couple of DVDs and there was a week that I was absolutely not doing anything and I basically watched the S1 VMars in a day or so. Not satisfied with that I checked out the other DVDs he bought and I popped in Supernatural disc 1. I'd never even heard of the show before.
So I mainlined Season 1 and HAD to look around the Internet to find out if there was going to be a Season 2. I discovered that the first 3 episodes was already out and quickly got my hands on them.
I got into fanfic waiting for Season 3 to come back because I couldn't get enough of the boys. The themes around family, etc is really what got me hooked on the show and I can safely say that I have never LOVED a show as much as I love this one. (Not that I don't have problems with it, but I guess it's like the relationship I have with my family - it's not perfect but I love them to death)
There are other shows I can watch over and over again and I miss because they're off the air (Firefly, VMars, West Wing, to name a few) but the mere fact that I had to create an account in LJ just to read/keep track of the awesome stories around the Supernatural 'verse and be able to thank the authors who come up with them, I think speaks volumes.
I sound like a crazy stalker person I know but despite the many strange things going around fandom - I'm still happy to be part of it. :-)
