RIP Lena Horne. You were one classy, talented dame.

Stormy Weather
The Lady Is a Tramp

And on that note, tonight's Glee: Dammit, I thought I had a digital copy of "The Boy Is Mine," but apparently it's squirreled away on a CD somewhere. Can anybody share? Also, that was an example of a song that was a fantastic idea, but I didn't really like the execution. needed more singing!

Kurt's dad is like, the best TV dad ever. he is totally on par with Keith Mars right about now. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I also really liked Kurt's final number.

I also liked "Jesse's Girl," though good lord, stop autotuning Finn's voice!

Brittany for the win! Also Sue Sylvester!

Puck! ♥ I love that Puck and Santana own how awful they are and are okay about it. And also that Puck can work the rat pack vibe.

Also, that paralyzed kid is no Jason Street. Otoh, at least his BFF isn't sleeping with his girlfriend. And I am amused that "Devil Town" is now playing. iTunes agrees!

I would have liked "One" better if, like, Tina and Artie got to sing lead on it. Or anyone but Finn, really.

The Good Wife

Wait wait, I thought Kalinda was a lesbian? I guess she could be bi. As much as I ship Alicia/Will, I could totally get behind some Kalinda/Alicia action.

Also, did Alicia really not know what she'd have to trade to get Eli Gold's help? Otoh, how awesome was that scene? So deliciously awesome. "This is my warm and understanding face." *glee*

And maybe it was a little heavy-handed, but I liked how the assistant kept trying to talk to Alicia, and Alicia completely without intending to come off as distant/rude, blew her off and led her to tell Cary first. Cary of course is an office politician, and he was all over that. The sad part is that I've come to like him and I really hope he isn't going over to Team Childs.

So that was pretty fantastic.

I also watched Sunday's Treme. Okay, I am totally shipping Janette/Jacques. Why is she bothering with Davis? Okay, he's not completely irredeemable - he has some small charm, though I thought his behavior in the bar was... pretty telling, really, and typical of a certain type of hipster douchebag. Otoh, at least he's not Sonny.

Was I the only one worried Antoine was going to blow it with the Japanese guy? Antoine is totally my favorite. Well, except for Ladonna. I'm sorry she didn't get much to do this week, but I did enjoy her serving the rogue contractor with papers, and also her conversation with the drug dealer. The dream sequence, otoh, was kind of meh.

I also liked the Chief's confrontation with the politicians. There's a lot of rage simmering in him, and there's something about the set of his face that makes me completely forget that he's Lester Fucking Freamon, you know? And Wendell Pierce is pretty much making me forget he's Bunk Moreland. Good show.

Also, the music is fantastic, and I can't get HBO's site to load to tell me what it was this week. I suppose I will have to try again tomorrow.
