it will also turn your arrow keys into page up/down, home, and end, and make the return key act as enter in programs that have them do different things (although there's another enter key as well, so that's less useful.) :D
F5 by itself does something with the screen - I don't know what exactly - contrast? but with the fn key, it is refresh! I approve. Thanks for the tip. And for fn+delete too. Now if I could get used to not hitting Tab to get to the "post comment" button from the comment text box.
elke_tanzer has a link roundup about LJ's latest asshattery. Huh, so that's what that weird l-stat.livejournal.com thing that's been loading all the time is abot.
You can reassign command to control & vice versa in System Preferences. It's helped me a lot, but it confuses the hell out of other people on my compute.
i totally agree with you about the burn notice mytharc. they don't need to deal with it every episode, especially since so much of it seems so familiar already. hopefully michael now working for management will actually be something different. i'm curious where they're going to go with it, anyway.
also madeline made me tear up a little! (it's been that kind of week for tv, apparently.) i like that michael was all worried about her having to deal with the fbi, and fiona knew she could take care of herself. and madeline trying to pack a shotgun made me giggle. and she slapped the fbi guy! twice! and she was ready to go to federal prison to save her son. she is indeed AWESOME.
i hope the cabinet delivery is quick and painless. mmm, furniture....
Especially since it's been so repetitive. Carla and Victor were interesting; the cop was a good idea but poorly executed; and then Strickler and Gilroy just felt like retreads.
Madeline was totally awesome! I think it's great the way they've grown her over the course of the show.
