So we are having a snow day tomorrow (so I really hope it snows, or that'll never happen again, though iirc, my second week at this job, we had a snow day, so...), I think because the NYC public schools are closed and that NEVER happens due to weather (when I was a kid, the Catholic schools in the diocese of Brooklyn only closed when the city schools did and the city schools NEVER did, so we always went, even in really terrible weather). I am excited about having a day off! On the downside, I still have to do a conference call at 8:30 am. On the upside, as my boss pointed out, I can 1. do it in my pajamas and 2. go back to bed afterwards. Which are certainly good points.
I went grocery shopping, of course, because there will be baking! I did think about trying bread again, but forgot to buy yeast, so that will probably not be happening, unless I run out tomorrow to get some.
I got my period this afternoon (two days early!), so I'm just as happy to lounge around in bed tomorrow (not that I'm not ALWAYS happy to lounge around in bed). I was bad, too, because even after I bought all the fixings to make risotto, I ended up ordering in a cheeseburger. I needed red meat! Desperately! And I really wasn't up for standing at the stove for forty minutes, stirring. I'll make the risotto tomorrow and have it leftover for a few days.

I LOVE Peter so much, omg! So smart! So rumpled! So clever in dealing with Neal, who always thinks he's a few steps ahead, but so rarely actually is. *dreamy sigh* The Oscar & Felix nature of them! June! June and Peter bonding! Peter being annoyed when Neal has strange women over! Peter thinking that guy's mancrush on Neal was adorable! I draw so many many sparkly hearts around them. I just wish Jones and Cruz had more to do.
Then, because I could, and I hadn't yet, I watched last week's Psych. OH MY FUCKING GOD, HOW MARRIED ARE SHAWN AND GUS?
First off, SARAH SHAHI! BEING AWESOME! AND GUS AND SHAWN ACKNOWLEDGING HER AWESOME! ♥ I could totally go for a Gus/Shawn/Ruby threesome. (Before they have their awesome Gus/Shawn/Jules threesome that can be an ongoing thing.)
Then, her name being Ruby and the weapon being a Winchester and the Chad Michael Murray joke made this a very SPN-referential episode for me (Sarah Shahi played the Woman in White in the SPN pilot). I mean, "You have to stop letting Ruby come between us!" Possibly I hurt something laughing at that. Plus, Henry being awesome and giving Shawn his drunken epiphany. Gus knocking the murderer unconscious by clinging too tight and hitting his chin with his helmet! Ruby knowing her Magnum PI episodes! Lassiter at the end! "None of you made the list!" *dies*
I didn't catch any Life references (surely they would have done something with the pineapple?), but it's possible I missed it - I was laughing so hard at various points I missed dialogue.
I don't even know, you guys. I just love Gus and Shawn and their relationship and their crazy '80s references so so much. You know that's right.

In other amazing fannish things,
tripoli8 brings us the news that Jensen Ackles will be voicing Red Hood in an animated Batfamily movie. I haven't read any Batfamily comics, ever, and my viewing of the cartoons animated series has been sporadic at best, but Jensen! With NPH as Nightwing! And Jason Isaacs as Ra's al Ghul! and Bruce Greenwood as Batman! That's some quality fannish collision going on there.
And as much as I can't actually bring myself to believe the rumor that Jensen read for (and is actually in the running for) Captain America, I also can't help but think of what that might look like. I mean, I am a pretty hardcore Tony Stark/Pepper Potts shipper (in the movieverse; I don't read the comics), but I could easily be convinced of a JA!Steve/RDJ!Tony thing. I mean, I have eyes, you know. (I'd actually be less interested in that with Ryan McPartlin, mostly because while I find him attractive, he doesn't reduce me to the level of 13yo girl with a first crush that the Ackles does, and the way RDJ can on occasion.)
I don't know, man. It seems like things I like and things the universe may provide are actually intersecting lately. What's that about?
