you always look tired, she said

*yawn*

I just want to go home and crawl back under the covers. I even hit snooze this morning (twice!) which I never do anymore (and only did today because Boss1 is out and Boss2 had a breakfast meeting; I still made it here by 8:50), because it was nice and warm under the covers and it was cool and autumn-like in my apartment. I had to put on boots and socks this morning. Sigh.

I am also completely unmotivated to do work today. I have work to do. But I am instead reading about last night's SPN, which I want to go home and rewatch a million times. ♥ I feel like my post last night probably did not convey how much I really liked the episode, because I was tired and also rushing to get it posted before LJ went down. But I really, really did. I'm squeeing sleepily.

I'm sure I have other thoughts about it, but *yawn* I am too sleepy to figure out what they are.

Top 5 Songs - September 2009

5. Deliver Me - Tom McRae
In a small motel room
history and hearts break in two
cut your losses, cut your ties
and I'll drink the shine from my eyes

Tom McRae is pretty much my go-to artist to write Sam and Dean. Dean would be horrified.

4. That's Not My Name - The Ting Tings
I miss the catch if they throw me the ball
I'm the last chick standing up against the wall
Keep up, falling, these heels they keep me boring
Getting clamped up and sitting on the fence now

This song reminds me of my nieces, singing it in the backseat of the car on the ride home from the city.

3. Earthquakes & Sharks - Brandtson
Earthquakes and sharks to start us off,
If Chupacabras ain't enough,
Black widow spiders, killer bees,
There ain't no shade, there ain't no trees.
hot desert heat, polluted air,
And traffic jams beyond compare.
That's all I got to warn ya
'bout Mexico and California.

Still fun to sing along with.

2. Say Hey (I Love You) - Michael Franti & Spearhead (f. Cherine Anderson)
Now I'm not a highly metaphysical man
But I know when the stars are aligned you can
bump into person in the middle of the road
look into their eyes and you suddenly know
Rocking in the dance hall moving with you
Dancing in the night in the middle of June
My momma told me don't lose you
'cause the best luck I had was you

So joyful. And I think of that Obamas vid by sdwolfpup and I get a little teary. Guys, even when he's said and done things I don't agree with, I still think we have the MOST AWESOME president. ♥

1. Daylight - Matt & Kim
and in the daylight we can hitchhike to Maine
I hope that someday I'll see without these frames
and in the daylight I don't pick up my phone
'cause in the daylight anywhere feels like home

I still have no idea what the hell this song is about, but it makes my ears happy.
