this time the anger's better than the kiss
So those new suit pants I complained about a couple weeks ago? How they're too long etc.? Well, this morning on the walk to the subway, the hem caught on the buckle of my sandal and ripped free, so now the left leg is even longer and draggier. SO ANNOYING. Scotch tape has not worked, so I am thinking I might try staples next, but I don't know if that will actually work.
Tell me, O Flist-wan Kenobi, will stapling my saggy hem work?

In other news, boss is back from her travels, and I've got some important meetings to gear up for in the next three weeks, so work is busy, but other boss said that he wants to talk to me about picking up some more interesting work, if I think I have the time. I am taking that as a good sign. I will be here three months on May 24, which is exciting to me. I think that means I'll be employed as long as I was unemployed earlier, which is a landmark worth celebrating.
I wish I were the kind of person who could make my work day sound really funny and interesting, because funny and interesting things do happen, but since I am not really comfortable laying out the context too clearly here, every time I try to tell a funny story, once it's stripped of identifying marks, it loses all humor and panache. This makes me sad, and so I just end up not really telling work stories here, or telling them in that watered down, unfun way.
My life, so hard!

How this song (er, "Debonair" by the Afghan Whigs) should be a S4 Sam and Dean vid (though I suppose it'd have to be Wincesty at least in subtext with lyrics like "'Cause it don't bleed and it don't breathe / It's locked its jaws and now it's swallowing / It's in our heart / It's in our head / It's in our love / Baby, it's in our bed")
I also think there should be a Sam and Dean vid to Tom McRae's "A & B Song" - especially now, with Sam and "the storm is rising in me / the blood is rising in me".
