So I was up really late last night finishing my Life marathon.

I am not necessarily fannish about it, in the sense that I desperately want to read and write fic for it (well, except for the bad wrong Charlie/Rachel, and how is there only ONE story about this pairing out there?), but I really enjoyed the 24 (25?) hours I spent with these

I am so pleased that you're watching Life! As I said, when I first started watching it, it is so nice to be equally impressed with the male and female lead actors.

Stuff about Dani - she is by far the most interesting character on the show to me, and it's not like I dislike or am indifferent to Crews, but she really feels like the heart of the show to me.

I don't think the Reese/Tidwell stuff is meant to be anything but a long, drawn-out screw-up on her part; they painted him too clearly as a sleaze, and her as someone who often deliberately fucks up, for me to buy the "sex leads to true love!" arc.

I'm also fascinated by the Dani and Bobby relationship - the way that they both know she's better for Crews than he was, and how they deal with that information.

And, of course, Dani and Charlie, being very aware of each other and invested in each other without necessarily being affectionate or "more than partners" - I LOVE THAT SO MUCH.

(Aside - I was all set to write Charlie/Connie, and got derailed. Maybe for halfamoon, if I can finish up some other stuff?)

Well, I've been watching it on and off since it started, but this is the first time I've seen every episode.

I hope so. I feel like they are really positioning it as a turning point for her, a good thing, so of course I hope it falls apart in the absolute worst way possible.
