except she does it in heels

Leverage

Oh, man, I love it when a show acknowledges its debts, and Hardison saying, "I love it when a plan comes together." makes me SO FREAKING HAPPY. Because yes, Leverage isn't really anything more than an A-Team for the 00s, and I am okay with that. I don't expect too much from it, except 40 minutes of enjoyment and Hardison being awesome. I am guessing this one was meant to come earlier in the season, because of the trust-Hardison issues? I don't know, but it would be interesting to see the eps in order.

So I generally don't have much to say except about how much I adore Hardison and his geek-hot self, and I enjoy the show on its own merits.

So I've been rewatching season 1 of Veronica Mars, and how awesome is Keith Mars? He is like the best tv daddy EVER, in terms of actually being concerned with the emotional welfare of his daughter and involved with her daily life. Also, I actually don't hate Duncan this time around. I can see why they did what they did with him; it's just unfortunate that he was lacking in as much charisma as nearly everyone else. Are there things I wish they'd done differently, even in season 1? Sure. I wish there were more Wallace, and that Keith's romance with Mrs. Fennel weren't dumped so unceremoniously. I'm also really struck yet again by Veronica's trust issues, and how seriously screwed up she is about relationships, even with Keith doing his best for her. And also, I love how much smarter she is than everyone else (though it makes it hard to write her). As much as I disliked some of the directions the show went in during seasons 2 and 3, I do miss Veronica and Keith and Wallace and Mac, and her relationships with each of them. ♥ I am cautiously optimistic about the movie.

I was looking at the house I grew up in on Google maps, and it is SO WEIRD to see it without the tree in the front yard, and to see the yard all paved over (except for the forsythia bush in the center). I was just - it's just weird.

I have a feeling I was going to go somewhere with that, but I am not sure where. I haven't been back to either Ozone Park or City Line since I moved into Manhattan, and part of me would really like to take the long ride out on A train, but I don't know anyone there anymore, wouldn't have anything to do but wander and look at what's taken the place of the things I knew. I mean, even before I left, so much was already gone. So there's no reason to go. I just... I don't know. When I dream, that house is still the house I live in, you know?

I have an interview tomorrow. Interviewing is like its own unpleasant job. I would like to not have to do it anymore.

I love how Obama looks at his wife, like she's the greatest thing he's ever seen. Sigh. I also really like her dress.

President Barack Obama.

Man, it's like an awesome dream, isn't it?
