I like shuffle a lot more than this person does - I really like being surprised when it's a good surprise, and generally, the way I've constructed my playlists, it's usually a good surprise (I don't keep songs I don't like on the playlists I listen to, though I might keep them around for other reasons), and shuffle allows for unexpected segues that shouldn't work but do, and for juxtapositions that create new and interesting connections between songs.
It's akin to the way it's somehow happier and more awesome to hear your favorite song on the radio than it is to cue it up and play it on purpose. The joy of serendipity.
Speaking of music, I have had "I Want You Back" in my head for days, but I have apparently lost my copy of the Jackson 5 version (I have a couple of covers). Can anyone help me out? Thanks, kyuuketsukirui!
