I guess. I just feel like the show is clearly about choices, so to have it come down to "all roads lead to the same destination" is just oogy. I will have to ignore that part.
It was awesome. I can't give you more except, Oh, Dean! When he begged her not to get out of the bed, and his face when she said she never wanted her children to be hunters. Sigh
>>because how did it happen the first time around if Dean wasn't there to point them at Liddy Walsh, and thus bring Mary to Azazel's attention?<<
maybe he always was there. or mary and her dad figured out the yed was going for liddy on their own. but it was always going to happen somehow - the yed had to see her, it was fate.
i love that mary was a hunter. wasn't expecting her to be so down on the hunting life, but the irony of her not wanting her kids to be hunters was probably too tempting to pass up. and dean trying to protect her from her own death was heartbreaking.
Yeah, yeah, it was always meant to happen. Obviously, it had happened already. Feh. That is just my personal irritation with that particular narrative trope.

Oh, man, that scene. Jensen really hit it out of the park tonight.

Eh. time travel always has to be handwaved. I will just ignore it, because I really hate determinism as a storytelling device.

The most scary line (as way2busymom pointed out) was
"Sam's not looking for you, Dean."
I think I whimpered.
