Oh my god, how is Booth so freaking ADORKABLE?
I've been watching season 1 of Bones and it's a little weird, all things considered, and not just because in the first couple of episodes there was a weird conflict between Booth and Brennan before they settled into their partnership. I did like the old boss. I mean, I like Cam a lot, but Dr. Goodman was pretty cool. And the Christmas episode reduced me to tears a couple of times. So did the one with the little boy who was killed by the neighbor. God. I kind of sobbed through the scene where Brennan talks to the other little boy about being in foster care.
You know, I tried watching this show from the pilot and hated Brennan, and then tuned in again for "The Girl in the Refrigerator" (yes, this show has explicitly done a WiR plot, except not, because she wasn't a catalyst for some man's quest or whatever) and enjoyed it, so I started watching semi-regularly. And it's totally become my comfort show (despite the ending of season 3, which, whatever). I just have to remember not to eat during it. It is even grosser than House.

The cable guy is coming tomorrow between 10 and 2 to install my new modem. I am DYING here on dialup. It's KILLING ME with its UNGODLY slowness.
Like the moron I am, I said to new big boss, "Hey, if the guy comes before twelve, I'll come into work." And so today he was like, "You're in at twelve tomorrow," and I had to say no, not exactly. Then I was talking to G. and he was like, "Don't even bother to come in."
Sigh.
We'll see what happens. They did call to confirm that they are coming, though, which is good. Back when I first had the cable modem installed, they gave me a Saturday appointment and then never showed, and I had to take a day off during the week. And they were like, "We always call to confirm so if you didn't hear from us that we were coming, we weren't coming." Fuckers.

But now, since I can sleep in until NINE tomorrow, I am going to watch more Bones. Yay!
