is there anybody alive out there?
There was fic last night, quite unexpectedly!
This One Laughing Quietly
Supernatural; Dean/girl!Sam; au; adult; 1,875 words
The summer Sam is sixteen, she spends all her time lying by the pool.
I think you should all be glad luzdeestrellas suggested I not call it "Cherry," which was the working title. What? It would have fit!
Soon, there will be no lines in "Nightswimming" that I have not used as titles. I think "The Bright, Tight, Forever Drum" and "The Moon Is Low Tonight" are the only two left on my list.
Anyway, we'd been talking about shame and drawerfic, and I was like, right now, my drawerfic would feature 16yo girl!Sam in a white bikini, painting her toenails on Dean's bed, her bare back a come on he can't resist, and when I sat down to write yesterday, that was exactly what happened. Except with more swimming. I really need to get back to writing canon Sam or I will forget how.
At this point, the only thing still left in my metaphorical drawer (as I don't generally actually *write down* my drawerfic) are the Mary Sues, which entertain me muchly on my commute, and so will never be committed to text.

So I've been listening to the new Bruce single a lot since I dl'd it on Saturday - it makes me very happy - and this morning I renamed my insanejournal "this is radio nowhere" with the subtitle "is there anybody alive out there?" and my flist "a million different voices." There wasn't enough space to do "i want a thousand guitars" and "i want pounding drums." But man, I love this song. I am excited about the new album.

Sadly, I did not get on the bus this morning and do this. Mostly because I don't want to have to walk to work every day after the MTA bans me.

One thing I did do this morning was update unfitforsociety with 31 recs in 8 fandoms:
* 21 Supernatural
* 3 Harry Potter and 1 HP/BtVS crossover
* 2 Friday Night Lights
* 1 Bourne Identity and 1 Casino Royale
* 1 Pirates of the Caribbean and 1 Sports Night
