Am lazy with the linkage, but I forgot to sleep again last night so am kinda hazy on details. All I know is this must be my calling, I just need to go through with it and start collecting. Problem, the camera I want is worth 6 grand with someone offering it to me second hand at a mere $2000AUS (mere being the word here, as I am many many dollers minus in my bank account) but only for a limited time and so I am running round trying to figure out laws about future students having special loans for that kind of equipment.
All those accessories, let's not forget the bullet mics and boom-poles that go with it, and the sound packs and spotlights for creepy night shoots, focus lighting umbrellas and the lights themselves, loads of foam for sound absorption...though the boom-mic also does that job nicely.

The one I was offered is a more complicated version and slightly bigger, with more ports for additional sound options (wireless mics inclusive) and connections to the computer via something similar to blueray to film live feeds to the internet and a larger handle on the top to make for those long low shots along the ground. I also wouldn't fear it bumping into things, bloody sturdy beast.
All up, I'm pretty stupid for even thinking I could BUY any of this at this early stage in my hopeful life as a filmographer/camerawoman. Most professionals hardly own half of this shit, instead their bosses do or they rent them constantly. But one can dream about boom mics and offered cheaper cams (can't believe he was willing to cut a full $1000 off his asking price) for years and years. I'll just keep these things on my list until I can afford them or somehow marry a millionaire...looks like I'm buying Chris a lottery ticket :P
