That's the exact moment I fell in love with Brian too. I mean, jfc, who wouldn't? My ovaries still suffer the damage to this day. Great chapter and I love love love this story so much. ♥

It's such a tender moment and one of those rare ones that Brian lets his guard down. I've no doubt Justin was in love with him from episode one, and it seemed like the perfect moment. :)

It's not fucking cuddling; he doesn't do cuddling. But this sort of lying next to each other, legs tangled and arms draped, isn't so bad.

Oh, Brian.

And maybe Brian can admit to himself that that's the reason why he held back on romantic gestures afterward. Beyond the safety of Liberty Avenue, he could never know what display of affection would get Justin another bat to the head.

Oh, man. Poor Brian.

Brian's never really seen that look on him before, and it kills him to know that he never has and never will be the reason for that expression.

*sniffles* This just kills me. Poor Brian, hurting because he's no longer the first priority in Justin's life. :(

I love the way you write Michael, BTW. I'm not a Michael fan at all and so I'm always impressed when someone makes me think he's actually a worthy friend for Brian (and Justin as well.)

I'm very happy to know you find Michael tolerable here. I always stress over finding a character's voice, but knowing that you felt like you did really gives me a boost of confidence.

Don't worry. Justin won't be disappointed forever, but we all know that there has to be a lot of disappointment in the beginning for these two. :)
