Signs Of Spring & Winter
The first Daffodil bud- so brave to be volunteering to be the first flower in the garden even though there is snow and ice on the ground. This single flower bud is a symbol of hope. It tells me that spring is right around the corner, even though it feels like the dead of winter still. I have noticed the songbirds returning and the leaves are starting to bud on the trees...Ah yes...my precious green leaves...how I have missed them. My heart sings with joy, just thinking about the fresh green glow of spring. :-)
Ripples of ice in my backyard...winter is still hanging on. I am so sick of the cold, but I can still stop and be in awe of the stark beauty that is winter.
