Preparing for New York

Jul 16, 2009 23:19

so--it's been a strange day.

I'm excited about New York though--I can't wait to meet everyone that I've been talking to for two or so years!

Anyway--My packing adventure began with Delta, which was very easy, and TSA, which is very not easy.

All I was looking for, really, was if they considered toothpaste a liquid or gel (and they do). So I checked the prohibited items section.

I had no idea how much sh*t you could check!

Knives, swords, guns, nunchucks! friggen Nunchucks! Bows and arrows, really, anything you can think of...heaven forbid the terrorists manage to get into their checked luggage, those planes would have no contest.

Anyway. I have two books, a journal, a pack of phase 10 cards, a winning smile and hopefully enough money to survive in New York for the weekend. I can't wait to see everyone!

travel, strange but true
