oh I believe in yesterday

I haven't updated this stupid thing in almost a month. Who cares.

Exams went very well, and I pulled off all As except one A-. I was quite pleased with my valor in the academic department. Even BCA went well.

The Receiving End of Sirens concert was amazing, in every sense of the word. Only two of the opening bands were even decent: As Tall as Lions was rather good, Hit the Lights blew chunks, and I Am the Avalanche was nothing special. But REoS was beyond my expectations. The level of rocking-out was comparable to when 88.9 presented Muse. REoS opened up the show playing the Star Wars Imperial Death March on their instruments, followed by The War of All Against All. I can't remember the order anymore, but they played almost the entire album. Alas, I was very disheartened when they failed to play both This Armistace and Epilogue, but they still played Dead Men Tell No Tales. All in all, the concert was one of the best I've been to, and even though Alvin's really sucks as a venue, its small size provided an intimate setting to rock-out in. For the first time in a really long time, my throat gave out a few times during the concert -- it was a glorious occasion. Afterwards, we chatted with THREE of the band members: the drummer, the bass player, and lead guitarist. All three were sweet: Scott and I got an awesome pic with the bass player (can be seen currently on my Facebook), and the guitarist was really nice. I told them how I put This Armistace on Modern Rock, and they thought that was awesome. Hence, I felt awesome.

They have a song on the soundtrack of the upcoming Superman movie, and they're touring again later this summer with Circa Survive. I will undoubtedly be in attendance. Rachel, if you read this, and are of sound mind and body, your attendance is mandatory.

I want bosco sticks soooooooooo badly right now.

The weekend after exams was craziness with the Trout-to-Campbell moving process. I give my deepest gratitudes to Leann and Frankles for helping me out with that excursion. Harboring Frank as if he were a stowaway was cool, though, even if his morning shower woke me up from an already terrible sleep. But, now I'm all moved into Campbell 309, and I'm very much enjoying my own room. It makes me yearn for apartment life even more. My phone number here is x6076. I'm sure the phone calls will be pouring in, now...

Muse's new single, Supermassive Blackhole, is totally disappointing... it makes me sad in my heart. I sure hope the rest of the album is nothing like this atrocity.

Moving Crew and WCZY are working out just fine for me. I make more than I expected to make at either job, and for now, it's easy-going. I want more gift certificates from WCZY... they need to feed me! Scotty Dunbar from crew is a goon, but I'll manage; so far I've been able to elude him.

Kirk gets married over Memorial weekend. It'll be really exciting. I can't believe we're getting so much older now. Kinda brings a tear to me eye... no no, I'm fine. Our suits are absolute PIMP, and even though my hair has been shortened by means of a cut, I'm certain I'll be quite sexy this coming Sunday. I'll try not to steal the spotlight from Kirk, though.

Guess what? I actually went to church today, here in Mount Pleasant. As Frank would know, this is quite the event for me, due to my terrible lack of church attendance over the last school year. But I felt great about going -- it gave me a lift, so to speak. Plus, Leann went with me, so now I have someone to go with.

I've finally been reading my Mike Wallace book while working at WCZY. It's fantastic: he tells behind-the-scenes stories of his interviews, and gives personal opinions of the famous people he's interviewed. To all broadcast/journalism friends ---> I highly recommend reading it. This man is our hero, our brother-in-arms of the media world.

I'm getting more and more excited about the apartment for next year. There's really no other way to put it. I WILL get bosco sticks for the freezer, and can make them at my leisure.

So I up and got a credit card, a Capitol One. And I'm also looking into a debit card. Did I mention I might be getting a cell phone???
