no one but you, for miles around

Only three more weeks of school left!

Leann's dad and stepmom visited her last Saturday and they took us out to Bennigans -- twas delicious. They also got me a couple raisin bagels, which was quite nice of them. After the satisfying dinner, Leann went to work and I played Halo (DUH!) until going to Finch Fieldhouse for Relay for Life. Modern Rock didn't have a big turnout at all, but it was still nice to go (despite certain circumstances). We had fake blackjack going, and to my dismay, I was winning -- alot. The dismay I felt was because it was all for pretend, and Frank just had to be at the casino doing the real gambling, winning $125. At least liquor is a good investment for him!

The Village is by far the best M. Night Shyamalan (?) film. The second time through is just as, if not better, than the first time watching it. What a plot twist, my hat's off to that man.

Leann and I went for a nature walk in Vietz Woods on Sunday, immediately followed by a summer conference meeting at the UC. I'll be in Campbell 309 this summer, pimps and hos. I'm counting the days.

*WARNING* The next sentence contains gloating: I got a mutha f*#king 100% on the huge BCA paper for the semester! Also, I want the gold.

On Wednesday night I job shadowed Eric Baerren, the editor in chief at the Morning Sun newspaper. I was there for almost four hours, but the time went by relatively quick. He was a bit odd and had a strange sense of humor about him, but he looked a little like Jack Black, which made him for respectable. It was a rather sweet and fulfilling experience; not like the assignment Marms is going to give me for my Honors project in the class (which is why I went to the MS in the first place). Marms is still a graham cracker, though.

Just Friends is freaking hilarious, everyone should see it. The main character's sense of humor is uncanny and twisted. Good ol' slap-stick comedy is still kosher in my book. And the Market, the new 'store' by Emmons, is a freaking mini-Meijer. It has everything LIKE BOSCO STICKS! So Leann and I indulged ourselves with succulent breadsticks filled with gooey cheese. Hmmmmmmm, goooooooooooood

I've successfully completed my 20 hours of TAI service hours at the scene shop as of Friday. I'm a free man! I still want the gold.

I went home for Easter to visit the folks including special guests Sarah (Kirk's fiance) and her brother Andrew. Yesterday we went to Meridian Mall and got fitted for suits for the wedding (not wearing tuxes). Basically, we're all gonna be pimps because Kirk picked out freaking pin-stripe suits for us guys. So basically, because of the wedding, I'm getting my first, real suit, and it's absolutely marvelous. I can't wait to wear it and look devilishly handsome. Yeah, it's sweet.

I also treated myself to a new jacket thing from Aeropostale. Refrain from any preppy clothing jokes you may have, the item cost a meager $10, originally priced at about $35. I'm all about the bargains. And... I look good in it.

Easter was good, as usual. Food was delicious, everything went fine and dandy. I dressed out-of-character for church, but that's beside the point. Now I'm back here, in Trout, anticipating with both eagerness and anxitey the next few weeks.

Happiness = 100% papers, Ultima collection for my computer, illegaling downloading Quark Xpress for my computer, a DVD burner for my computer, DREDG concert this Wednesday night!, Dashboard Confessional this Saturday at SVSU!, a new jacket, a new pimping suit. Oh yeah, and Jesus resurrecting from death, that too.

Do yourself a favor, acquire music by People in Planes. Yet another band I feel obliged to spread the word about.
