The Fourth of July

This is why I think Lunchbox is like... made of magic or something, haha. I haven't really had a break in a long time because for the last 3 weeks, I've been preoccupied with trying to navigate the legal process of a restraining order to get that filth out. Anyway, off to the weekend!

The reason I call this my first real break in three weeks is because I feel like I've been working on something ever since the spring quarter ended. In short, a real holiday! It looks like everything with the schizophrenic/bipolar is sorting itself out. I did manage to call the sheriff's department in the morning to get a restraining order, but they just told me to call an attorney if we needed one. No, we couldn't get a restraining order on him yet since there weren't any attorneys open on a holiday and a Sunday. That was just bad luck. I thought we'd lost for good.

And so it is with that losing mindset that I finalized KTV plans. I left the house with my brother around 2:10 to go pick up our friend Jimmy and head over to Alhambra. It's a good thing you guys who got there before I did knew I'd put it under my name when you got there (who else?) :P. At KTV, we blew out our lungs with the best effort I'd seen in a while, and went through a good half and half between Chinese and English songs. Hell, Shirley even threw in a TAIWANESE-Taiwanese song, as in traditional Taiwanese dialect! You need to send me that song, Shirl. One hour in, my body was trembling because I had just gotten off the phone with Tom an hour and a half earlier with the bad news that I couldn't get a restraining order on Eric. Two hours in, I started forgetting about it, but my body was still a little jittery. I jumped on board for the odd song or two, then three, then four... and it was the third hour. I don't even know if I was thinking about anything other than what song I'd pick next by that point. Everyone else just seemed to be having such a good time that I guess I just let the good feeling take over. I also guess that it worked! Four, five, six, and finally it was ten past eight o' clock and we got remotely cut off. I took Annie back home and drove the other young'ns in my car to McDonald's where we met up with everybody else and had dinner before our big fireworks blowout.

It wasn't until McDonald's that I noticed something. NO PHONE CALLS! NONE! AT ALL! ALL DAY! WHOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!!! I did get a call from Tom saying that Eric had upgraded from six-packs to twelve-packs, and that he was sitting in his room in the dark watching the TV in Rob's room (I still refuse to call it Eric's room). He didn't say anything to Tom--just focused on that TV of his. That's fine with both of us. If he keeps this up until July 15, I... well, I'm still planning on crashing at my friend's place until the fucker moves out, but as long as he wasn't harassing any of my tenants, we're fine. I still feel the danger of having him around, but maybe he can just stay in that room and not really come out...

Anyway, that call didn't last long. While we were at it with the low-powered explosives, I tried to teach Kim a basic Budo Taijutsu technique for deflecting punches, but it seemed like everyone wanted a piece of that pie and joined in just for kicks. And punches. Key phrase of the day comes from Steven: "Everybody gangbang her!" HAHAHAHA you're horrible dude! Thank you, "Cap'n" Jenny for buying the fireworks. That was just enough to end the night. Any more and I would've come home too tired to write about the events of the day, and possibly even too tired to remember them the next morning. Any less and... well, any less and I probably would've been overwhelmed with the crazy audience trying to gangbang Kim! HAHAHAHA ahhhh sorry Kim, let's call it Karma for your doing evil deeds :P

But yeah. Good day good day GOOD DAY INDEED! WHOO! My only wish now is that we can repeat this next year, only with more close friends, more legit food (McDonald's is affordable and all but...), and zero stress from any of us. And now, it's time for me to sleep. This'll be the earliest I go to bed in what seems like two and a half weeks... 3AM. Early. Yeah, I had a good time today, and that's all that matters right now. Lunchbox works miracles, hahah.
