Yes, now that I am taking a break from class, I have more time to catch
up on my life.
Taking another fun step towards home ownership and am getting the
homeowner's policy set up. Still have to figure out when to turn on
utilities and find a fridge and washer/dryer. Sigh! I sort of wish the
house genies would come and take care of this for me.
Did some shopping (mostly window) last night at various stores to find
things for the house and things for me. I'm very definitely going to
need some more seating since a loveseat and arm chair just aren't going
to cut it. However, buying a couch isn't in my budget for awhile. So I
figured I would just buy another arm chair and that would have to do.
Found one that will work at Target. I have to put it together but it's
under $170 so that's a good thing and it looks nice so that will work
for me.
Went to Kohl's since they had towels on sale to see about finding some
towels for the guest bathroom. Alas, they were the wrong shade of
green. So no towels for me. But they did have some cool accessories
that I might like for the master bathroom.
Then it was off to darts. I almost wound up going to the wrong bar
since I had looked at the wrong day on my calendar. We've added a new
person which should take some of the pressure off Dave, Lisa and I. I
sat out 301. Got beat in cricket and it was my own fault. I got behind
on points and didn't realize that my opponent hadn't closed out the 17s
and I kept throwing at the 15s which cost me points. Stupid me. I do
dumb moves like that when I'm off by myself without a teammate to talk
to me. So I think I killed my points per dart and handicap. But the
601 game was much better. I was paired with Lisa and we both threw
really, really well.
We kicked butt if I can say that. We totally got into our opponents's
heads. Though I am thinking that they thought we were sandbagging them.
Basically Lisa and I threw a 30 dart game and she threw a 54 for the
out. It was very cool. In fact it was my one cool moment of the night.
Wound up getting killed in doubles cricket and we barely lost in 801.
So we wound up losing the match. *boo!* As of now, it looks like I'll
be getting 3 plaques at the end of the season: 1 for my perfect throw,
1 for low 601 and 1 for low 801. But then again, any one of those could
go by the wayside. Next week will be interesting, Dave and Lisa won't
be there so we may only have 3 again. Sigh. Playing with a ghost is no
fun. So I will bask in the glow of the 30 dart game while I can.
fun with friends,
