Happy Saturday
It's actually been a pretty nice day, finally it's feeling a bit like Fall out there. I wish I was feeling a bit better though. I don't know if I've caught a stomach bug that's going around work, or I ate something that isn't agreeing with me, but I've been having nausea for a few days and just feeling generally icky as well. Kind of a bummer since I wound up sleeping most of today instead of being out there enjoying it. And I'm going to be going to Drag Bingo tonight and it would be nice if I felt better. I'll be ok (I think) provided that I don't eat or drink anything.
Had a fun Friday night considering that when I got home I had no plans to do anything but relax after the very long week that I've had. No sooner had I gotten home, then I get a call from John asking what I was doing and then he says "Let's go to dinner" and I get to pick the place. Ok, John doesn't normally do spontaneous social things like this, but oh well, it should be fun. So he picks me up and we go to Waraji for sushi. I admit that I'm not a huge sushi fan but I am trying to like it more. But I'm thinking that I might just stick to other things and let him eat the sushi next time. I just don't get the allure of sushi, it doesn't do much for me. But I am digressing...After dinner we're driving back to my house and then he says, "let's get drinks" and so I get to pick the place so off we go to The Hibernian and hang out there for a few hours. It was a good time, except I started to not feel well while we were there but I didn't say anything not wanting to enjoy the social time.
Then back to my house and some more hanging out and then we fell asleep and woke up with all the lights on after 1:00 am. Since I had to get up way too early to take my car to get worked on and he was starting to sneeze since he's allergic to cats and won't take his allergy medicine, I sent him home. So it was a very nice evening. It would be nice to do that more often. Well, next weekend we're going to Beerfest and he asked how many of my friends he was going to meet. It turns out not too many. So that should be fun.
Got my car worked on and then came home and sacked out for a few hours, woke up and did the quick house tidying up thing so that when Janera picks me up, she isn't completely horrified by how messy my house is.
At this point, it really isn't worth making my house totally clean since I do need to start packing stuff up and throwing stuff out and all that fun stuff. I promise that I will be more organized with this move.
