Once again it was darts on Tuesday. We added some new players that were friends of Anthony's from church. So I'm hoping that they had at least played darts before. Unfortunately when I got to darts, my hopes were dashed because there was Dave explaining all the rules of the game to both of them. That was not a good sign. They were nice but man, they could not play at all. We wound up losing every game but 801. I did not play all that well. I lost cricket because of a tactical error on my part of not going for points when I should have. Which of course, was an error I realized the minute I threw the darts. Ugh!!!! I hate it when that happens.
My one complaint about the new people. I kind wished that Anthony had taken them out to play a few games of darts before Tuesday night so that they would have understood how things work. To give the other team credit, they were very nice and helpful to the new people and we had the bar to ourselves so that really helped things out.
However, I did have one fun, neat and cool moment during 601. I was paired with the new lady and she was not doing so well. And wasn't really taking my advice on where to throw. So anyway, I'm throwing and hit 1 triple 20 (that's the inner ring on the 20 for those of you who don't know darts). That's cool and I throw again and hit another triple 20. So that is very cool. I throw my last dart and hit another triple 20. That give me a total of 180 points and is the highest amount of points you can get in darts. Yes, I got a perfect throw. It is something that is very difficult to get. There are people who have played for years and have never gotten one. So needless to say, that made my night. And I don't care if our team sucks this season. I get a trophy at the end of the season and that just made my night and heck, my darts season.
And someone had their camera phone with them, so we got a picture of me with my darts in the board, but I don't have it yet.
So it was just really cool.
