Happy Birthday to me
Yep, it's that time of year again, my birthday. And I'm 39. Kind of an interesting concept being almost 40. Especially when you consider that if you ask most people, they think I'm no older than 32 if that.
So what have I done to celebrate my birthday?
Well, yesterday at volleyball, we won all 3 games and I played pretty well for the most part. Anthony bought me a beer. Then Erin from Hit the Deck got me an Oatmeal Cookie shot since it was her birthday today too. And Rich bought me an Oatmeal Cookie shot too since he didn't want to buy me a Buttery Nipple or a Blowjob or any shot with Sex in it. Silly man. He also was being a bit of a kill joy and saying that I shouldn't have anything to drink until our game was over. And best of all, Janera brought cake. Not just any cake but Bailey's Irish Creme chocolate chip pound cake. Very tasty.
Tomorrow we're going to have cheesecake at work and Janera, Alan, Anthony and Jenn are taking me out to dinner. Darrell said something about having to take me out at a later point since he's traveling this weekend.
Got a call from Pete this morning which was nice as always. Elizabeth called but I was on a conference call and so we're now playing phone tag.
So all in all, lots of fun with friends and that is what it is all about. Especially since I can't be with my family.
It would be nice to have a significant other to share this with, but oh well, friends are just as good.
