this is my absolute favorite iron & wine song and i'm glad that the video i found for it was from a performance at the vera project. i discovered iron & wine at a show there way back in 2004 when he was touring in support of the creek that drank the cradle. we all sat on the floor and no one talked as sam beam played song after song with very little banter in between. his wife and daughters were there, too. a couple of his kids were running around, climbing on stuff and chasing each other. and his wife sat in the front with their smallest daughter asleep in her lap. it was just one of those small, totally unexpected, completely perfect moments.
