I have a friend who joined the marines as a chaplain and was stationed in US to do just that. He was told he would be here on US soil. He and his captain got into a huge fight and now he is being sent over to Iraq for a year. He leaves in October. Check EVERYTHING out.
Why would you want to do this? Want to be all that you can be? Get a loan and go to college! Friend or not, this guy is STILL a recuiter. TRUST NO ONE! The Government has cut military benefits SO MUCH recently. Is it worth it? You're a good guy with big dreams. Is this really the way to watch them come true?
I'm thinking this may have been temporary insanity.
That, and some issues have come up where it might be better for me to stay here.
I'll most likely be calling Sgt. Elkins up and explaining things to him, as well as apologizing for taking up his and Sgt. Hill's time. They really did put a good bit of effort into this.
