I like my job. I really do. When I'm upstairs I get to listen to music and be all obsessive and meticulous, which is awesome. And when I'm downstairs cashiering there are fun people to talk to and they buy interesting books about which I can bond. But there are a few things about my job that are very very annoying.

These past two weeks have been absolutely evil. Just one thing after another, including a paper on Melville. You know, I'm sure he's great writer, and blah blah blah, but right now I loathe him. Absolutely loathe him. There's no doubt in my mind why he was a failed writer. Urgh! Anyway.

Finally watched this weeks Heroes. ( spoilers, duh )

I'm in Seattle for the weekend. And of course, I come home and get horribly sick. What is it with me and my ability to hack up a lung? I hate asthma and everything that goes with it. Damn cough! Not having access to the internet for a whole day is unbearable. What have I become? :) I forgot my ethernet cable at home and Evergreen doesn't have wireless in the dorms. Watched Joe's Wedding last night. It's an off beat Canadian romantic comedy. The only reason I was even interested is because it has David Hewlett (aka McKay) in it. And I have to admit the shower scene is both hilarious and adorable. Multitasking, plus a well placed tea pot. Ingenious. The rest of the movie was alright ( Read more... )
