Ah, May Week.
There has been the Jesus Ball, which was absolutely fantastic, and involved good music and good food, lots to do, glorious decorations, fabulous dresses and dancing until dawn (on a related note, I am seriously considering attending the next ball I go to in a dinner jacket. I have had enough of shivering and aching feet at formal events while the men around me are warm and comfortable). There has been the June Event, which was also fun, involving quite different food and music and a more comfortable pair of shoes. There have been the boys teaching Robert how to play football, and getting accosted by a small and cocky eleven-year-old boy who seemed more interested in chatting up Rosie, Catherine and myself than in actually playing football. There has been a lot of lazing around, whiling away afternoons on Latham Lawn, reading children's books and PG Wodehouse, and hanging around in Rosie's room encouraging Robert to speak English. Ooh, and my mother came up yesterday to take me for lunch and buy me a pretty top. And the future has continued to rush towards me with terrifying speed.
