IK Manga
A little more art, and a full day of yard and house-work. Mom helped me hack up the bulk of the dead rose bush and put it in the trash. All that is left is the heavy root ball. I figure if I remove the dirt it may get light enough to lift into the trash next week.
After the yard work, we did some shopping. After that, I did some cooking - roasted an organic chicken in the crock pot with home-made teriyaki sauce. I think it turned out good. We'll have that for Sunday dinner. Got some prep work done for a nice bean soup - one of those 6-or 9-bean mixtures they sell. I might try and get some sausage to put in it, or maybe some of the leftover chicken.
The teriyaki sauce is easy - I used 2 T soy sauce, 2 T mirin, 2 T sake, and 1/2 T sugar all dissolved together. I cooked it down a little in the microwave, then brushed it over the chicken as it roasted. You can adjust the proportions up or down to fit your needs. Good on just about anything. :)
