The Nature of Comedy
So, I have been attending workshops taught by Antonio Fava (commedia dell'arte guy), and the cool thing is that he has really made me investigate my thoughts on theatre. So many of the people that I work with don't consider improv a legit theatrical form, which I always thought was bogus. But now I'm thinking...in some ways I like improv or theatre that at least seems like it's improvised much better than the kind I have been seeing here. It's like there's no excitement in it. So, instead of being looked down upon the way it is...maybe improv is the goal. Somethin' to chew on, I guess.
