(no subject)
I'm coming home tomorrow!!! I'm so excited to see everyone. Work is about to get really busy, so I decided to head out on vacation while I could. It's been just crazy here.
Kaleidoscope is awesome...we're really starting to get the show down now, and I'm lovin' it. They are the nicest people and it's so fun to be around them.
I am pretty broke, and so am babysitting for this family...get this: the parents are HOME while I babysit their kids, HOME!!! Saturday, they were talking about the husband having a vasectomy and he was none too excited...let me tell you. There are two kids, we'll call them Child A and Child B. Husband is only the father of Child B. So, I'm in the living room, playing with the kids and I hear the husband scream "But if Child B dies, I will have no offspring!!" I, meanwhile, am desperately trying to convince the kids that Thomas the Train is much more important than whatever Daddy is screaming about. Plus I get paid for CRAP!! But they really need someone, supposedly, and I've never been very good at saying no.
I'm about to start rehearsals for my show, which will be part of the Asolo Late Night series. It's soooooo exciting. I am doing a gender study, so one play is all male and one play is all female. Both plays are about how society and the media try to convince us that we need things and to live up to a certain ideal. And they use sex to motivate us in both cases. I can't wait to get into rehearsals.
Whoever is around this weekend, I would love to hang out on Saturday, whoever wants to. :)
