They think I don’t see, can’t hear, don’t notice a thing. But I do. Mizuiro and Keigo do too.
It’s hard not to become suspicious of your-so-called “nakama” when they’re running out to save the world (or whatever) during class when you’re all supposed to be working on your next math problem. No one else seems to notice, so I don’t say a thing.
What makes me pissed is when I ask. They say nothing happened, it was a coincidence, they couldn’t hold their bladder, just another excuse. But I know they’re lying. Those once honest people I truly thought were my friends are lying, keeping secrets, getting farther and farther away from reach.
I’m not stupid. I know them well enough to know when they lie. And they lie everyday, straight to my face.
So I pretend, pretend to not really know what’s going on, pretend that everything is fine, smile through all of the lies, hiding that I’m a little more than angry at their hiding secrets and careful glances, warnings (but not too careful, because I notice them, too).
But they’ll learn one day. One day soon, I’ll show them all that I’m not stupid, not blind, not deaf.
This is a fight, a fight like one I go into everyday in training; they think I’ve accepted defeat, but they’re dead wrong.
