It will not be to kill her, she knows. No, in fact, she will return to request her help. For all of her power and strength, Mary’s daughter is weakest when it comes to herself-doubts and insecurities, she does not even know how to wield the Realms’ magic in a way that is useful.
And that fear of herself, it will make her seek her out within the well, draw her up again and bestow her with magic, with life.
So Circe waits patiently at the bottom, smiling in the shadows and knowing that Gemma’s dark corners will have her desperate for answers-for her.
