The higher purpose.......
Well, I'm back in town for about two days in between the New Mexico Old Stories, New Voices camp that I was just at (from Sunday through yesterday afternoon) and the Colorado Old Stories, New Voices camp that I head back to on Sunday. The second one will be tougher because we're working with drastically more kids and these kids do not come from the same happy lives the NM kids do. Oh well. I find it just as, if not more, rewarding to work with the kids who have more trouble.
I've been teaching at the camps, which is intimidating, but fun. I'm really having a great time, and am growing a lot, just in a few days. I think the next week will be very interesting. I'm exhausted now, and will be worse by August 6th, when I get back, but it's all fun :)
Things are going well, but I'm busy. All things wedding are very much on hold at the moment, which is kind of nice. I get to sit back and enjoy the RSVP cards coming in and the entries we're getting in our online guest book. :) It's nice to know that people care!
There are not-so-good things happening with a little girl I'm pen pals with, so PLEASE pray for her in whatever way you want to. She and her little sister are really getting cheated in life, and I'm hoping for some sort of miracle for them. I can't think of anything else that will fix it at this point, and it's hard to know how involved you should get.
