Life is messy.

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, there are workers cutting tile in my bedroom.  December was hellacrazy:

• Business trip to the Bay Area in CA
  
• Business trip to Minneapolis
• Trip to NY to see friends
• Trip to Cape Cod to attend a funeral
• Trip to Long Beach, CA to spend Christmas with the in-laws
• Lots and lots of work (per usual, no?)
• Almost 4 weeks of renovations -- we had our 2 bathrooms on the 2nd floor and the powder room and wetbar on the 1st floor redone, meaning that there was no room untouched by the mess and the ultrafine, white dust that coated just about everything.
• Lots of renovation-related headaches
• Lots of renovation-related shopping
• Lots of Christmas shopping
• Showering in a cold house in a bathroom without a frigging door (removed for unknown purposes) and a shower curtain that insisted on molesting me
• Hemorraging renovation-related $$$
  
• Finding out that my best friend is moving to NY in the next month or so

Yah.  It was a long month.  I hope 2007 brings some happiness and relaxation.  The renovations are complete for the most part.  There are some little things here and there that need to be done, but all of the rose paper and plastic is gone.  We just had a cleaning crew come in, so we can breathe mostly dust-free air.  I'll do some before and after shots and posts soon.  I need to post about the holiday break as well.

So much to do, so little time.  In fact, I should be doing something else right now.  :P
