No kidding, right? Any secrets? I use Redken's color extend shampoo & conditioner, and when the color starts fading I'll alternate with one of their color shampoos.

I don't bleach! I refuse to bleach.. my stylist uses redkens dermanent color or something something.. i forget.

ooh.. i read about that shampoo! i was going to go get some, but too lazy so i just bought john frieda's deep red line :P and my stylist told me not to wash my hair in warm to hottish water.. she said try to stay on the lukewarm side because hot water will open up the pores and the color will come out faster.

I actually don't know if I bleach or not. She uses Redken on me, so it might be the same stuff?

she must've cuz you said she had to lift the colors and your hair was almost blonde. and since you were there for four hours, it sounded like she did the two step color process on you :)

Hmm. I guess so. Except I had a third step with a second coat of red. Those pesky reds.

plus, with that shade of red, you'd need bleach. mine's more purpley
