Last night being Holy Night in the calendar of the Eleusian Mysteries, today being the sixth day of the Greater Mysteries, it is appropriate to discuss the death and return of Persephone.

Persephone, also called Kore (Cora), was the daughter of Zeus and Demeter.  Kore means Maiden.  Persephone was abducted by Hades. the god of the underworld.
