One last thing concerning the Ladder.  In the reliefs I posted, there are two Ladders, leaning on the cross.  The Christian symbolism would be that these were the Ladders used to take Christ's body down.  One Ladder shown has eight rungs.  The other has seven.  I don't know if the artist intended symbolism with these two numbers, if there's some ( Read more... )
