Aspen Wand...
Tonight I went up in the hills with my puppy. On the way up, I stopped beside the road in an aspen grove. I found the perfect stick for a wand. It was part of a branch that had been cut off to clear it from the road and was still pretty fresh. I cut it off and prepared it, and drove on up to the area of where my working site is.
I hiked in and, in the twilight, cast a Feri sphere (or circle, whatever), and invoked the Feri Guardians. I also invoked Nimue and Dian y Glas. I think I felt something when I invoked them, but it could have been my imagination. I then consecrated my wand, then closed the circle. The puppy meanwhile was trying to pull over the tree that I had tied her to, up on her back legs pulling with all she had. I heard the tree creek. It was about four inches in diameter. I finished packing up my tools and supplies in my bag, and went and untied her and headed down the mountain. It was mostly dark by then, so I had to be careful in the dark of the forest.
I got down to the trail and was about half way back to the car, when I felt the bag and realized the wand had fallen out somewhere!
