The weekend went well. There was a large turn out. Many of people were able to make it, and many more sent their condolences. My father touched more lives then I had previously counted and many more since I moved on with my own life. He never stopped fighting up until the very end. He was always ready to go when his number was called, he just wanted to make damn sure that there wasn't an early calling. I know that many of the people here have never met my dad, but in a way you have. During the dinner afterwards, with in a jovial conversation of past and present, one of my dad's sister-in-laws responded with a chuckle and a great smile to a comment I made that it was like my dad never died. She quickly tried to apologize, finding her comment a surprise to herself, which I told her wasn't necessary. Because I looked up to my dad and tried to follow his example, you have met an aspect of him.
I wanted to thank everyone for you concern and kind thoughts.
On the up side of things, three great things happened with in this time of sorrow. The next generation of the Lee clan was started by the eldest grandson. Dad got to see the baby girl at least once before he left.
Plus a first conception for another of the Lee clan.
And finally a first conception for some great friends.
Congratulations for all!!!!! :-D
