juuuust finished the Watchmen comic, since I resolved to read it first...
... It hasn't left me 'despising' humanity like a friend said it would, per say, just really, really sad.
Any comic that manages to make you understand where most of the characters come from (excluding Dr. Manhattan, who I remain... neutral on? But I don't like or dislike him.), even the ultimate 'villain,' is pretty damn extraordinary.
NOW TO WATCH A "LEGALLY DOWNLOADED" COPY OF WATCHMEN and brace myself for disappointment, because there is no way a movie is going to be able to capture all of that
