I'm such a douche bag. I decided to go tan last night. For 20 minutes. Knowing full well that I am pale and that would not be a good idea. But Im always in denial about being pale... I tell myself that I am a dark skinned white person lol and I'm never really pale. Well, tell it to the UV rays. My ass is burnt all to hell today. Well, more my face than my ass. But I"m so burnt i don't know if you can even tell the different between the two. ha this is sad... I'm sitting in my office with my bra unhooked because it hurts too bad.
Oh well.... this too shall pass.
Mom and Greg are leaving to go to the Bahamas Saturday. I am sooo jealous. perhaps their faces will look like their asses as well. ha
Maureen and I went to lunch today at Mykonos. It was good. IT made me think of Faculty Senate days when Tiff and I would ALWAYS go to Mykonos. It was supa dupa good.
I have got to figure out a Halloween constume. Saturday is Spooktacular at work and we generally dress up with all the kids. Then, I have to work a camp-in next Friday night which is of a Halloween theme and the kids will again be dressed up.
Supposed to go to Friday's tonight... surprise, surprise. Apparently, Tuesday night is now officially Friday's night. I guess b/c we get free appetizers? Like I need them. oh well. Cheap drinks, I'm in.
On sunday, I spent all day cleaning and rearranging my apartment. It looks really nice. I angled the living room. I like it. I also watched CMT for a good 4 fours while cleaning. First, I watched a behind the music thing about the Highwaymen--- whom I loooove. Then I watched their movie, Stagecoach, which is funny because i HATE Westerns. I ncase you dont know, the highwaymen consists of Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, and Kris Kristopherson. These are the men I grew up looking at and listening to... my mom always dug this shit. I thought it was crap but now I love it. I heard some songs on the thing about the highwaymen that I looove... im trying to find one inparticular.
Speaking of Waylon Jenings, I like his son's cd too- Shooter Jennings. I'm liking the old outlaw country lol
To end this post, a Waylon Jenings song called "I Do Believe"
In my own way I'm a believer
In my own way right or wrong
I don't talk too much about it
It's something I keep working on
I don't have too much to build on
My faith has never been that strong
There's a man there in that building
He's a holy man, they say
He keeps talking about tomorrow
While I keep struggling with today
He preaches hellfire and brimstone
And heaven seems so far away
I do believe in a higher power
One that loves us one and all
Not someone to solve my problems
Or to catch me when I fall
He gave us all a mind to think with
And to know what's right or wrong
He is that inner spirit
That keeps us strong
In my own way I'm a believer
But not in voices I can't hear
I believe in a loving Father
One I never have to fear
That I should live life at its fullest
Just as long as I am here
