The Devil Went Down to Detroit
What is this? I don't even. Why did I write this?
*ahem* This is a song parody of the great "Devil Went Down to Georgia." I thought it should be more supernatural-y, so... yeah. I did this. Please note that "Detroit" is supposed to be pronounce "Deetroit." You know, like a hick... which I am.
The Devil went down to Detroit
He was looking for some meat to steal
He was in a dud, couldn’t have no fun
And was willing to make a deal
When he came across a young man
Sucking on a demon and bleeding it dry
And the Devil slid a bit closer then
And said, “son, you’ve caught my eye.
Now, you’ve got a pretty strong mind, there, boy
But give the Devil his due.
There’s a fiddle of gold against your soul
That says I’m better than you.”
The boy said, “my name’s Sammy,
And it might be a sin,
But I’ll take your bet, you’re gonna regret,
I’m the star and have to win.”
Sammy, you hug your brother tight and say that magic word
Your team’s fresh out of options and just maybe this will work
And if you win you get to keep a safe and happy globe
But if you lose, the Devil gets your soul.
The Devil turned his back on Hell and said “my name’s not Sam”
And dark wings flapped around him as he vanished yet again
And he reappeared in Kansas with his brother standing by
Then he snapped his fingers loud and, boy, a lot of people died.
With one last victim in his hands, young Sam started to fight
And the Devil lost his hold as he looked into shining light.
Fire in the bedroom! Run, Dean, run!
Mary made a deal, and he’s marked her son!
Memories of fond times flying by!
Singing, manly hugs, and a close-up eye!
The Devil bowed his head because he knew that he’d been beat
And he watched as Sammy laid the Horsemen’s rings there by his feet.
Sammy said, “Devil, just go on back to your island in the sea.
I’m the star of this here show and so the winner must be me.”
And he saw
Fire on damned souls, fall, Sam, fall!
Locked up in a cage with such strong walls!
Underneath a streetlamp something clicks!
Sammy’s standing by for season six!
