Frisbee!

I am falling in love with this sport like I did with agility all those eons ago. Every time I take Roper out to practice I am enthralled by his enthusiam. Even with distractions (they are paving 101 right now any day or night its not raining) Roper is super excited to chase his yellow discs. Multiple discs don't faze him anymore, he grips and drops on command. We are slowly making a list of "tricks", which can be strung together into a free style routine. He will never make air like a big dog, but he is impressive for his size. We are enjoying it. Mayzie would prefer a single disc, so I practice my aim and the four basic throws with her. She burns off energy and is a competent catcher and retriever. Now Seeger is a crazy whirl wind! He is over the top wild for frisbee! He had one to catch and one to grip when I ask him to drop the catch one. He can rip the bite disc out of my hand, a super powerful force. I will definitely need a vest when and if he learns to vault. The boy can make a graceful catch.

I'm still running Mayzie in weekly agility classes and will support local agility clubs, but have absolutely no plans for cross country travel or overnight stays. I spend too much time in hotels as it is. I like where Mayzie and I are in our agility work. She is 8 years old and I can see she is aging. Roper is 6; while I don't want even think it possible, my baby dog is a true adult. He is set in  his ways, can be a bully, a real Napolean, and I'd have him no other way. Seeger will be two in February and is the sweetest boy ever. I never thought an in tact springer could ever be as good a boy and as steady he has become. A plus is that he is a snuggle bunny too. I am really lucky. Three fabulous anumals share my home and are generally good.
