So, in case you missed the big announcement, there is now a sister-comm buffy_genfic operating on a more strict schedule, polls start the 15TH and fic is due the 10th of the following month. Since kwritten (aka yours truly) is now juggling two exchange communities, it would be really rockin' for me if multi_genfic operated on a strict, by-the-date schedule as well. I hope you all

I want to clarify my poll answer. I don't think you are crazy.
I just feel more comfortable with a lower word count because I like writing short fic and also like knowing that I have an opportunity to make it longer if the story calls for it.

I totally understand. And the poll answers are made for hilarity's sake and not for pure honesty. I tend to either do exactly 500 or lean over 1-2,000 at femslashminis and so I just wanted to see how everyone feels.

After round one I'll ask participants if they felt like the 1,000 word limit is too large. It's equal to Yuletide and other exchanges of the like, but far less time. So we'll see what the people say, hey?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I mean, often I can bang out pieces like that, but that just seems stressful (which might just be because I've burdened myself with way too many things to be writing recently, but I digress.)

I personally love the 500 words, but I just wanted to see how everyone else felt. Esp since I put buffy-gen at a 1,000 min.
